Have you ever been homesick? Have you ever come to the realization that despite all its blemishes, your country, your region, your town of birth will always be your home, where you grew up and who’s culture and rich experiences has shaped the person you are today? For anyone who has ever felt that, this is for you. The travelers, the foreigners, the outsiders who can’t seem to satisfy their sense of adventure, this for you. You know what? It’s also for the townies, for those who have found peace in stillness and desire not to ramble; the ones rooted in their traditions, without whom we’d have no hometowns to long for. These are some of my favorite songs from the Great American songbook. A musical tradition touched by hands of all colors and creeds; an essentially American art form that brings me pride and comfort when I’m feeling homesick. This is “Songs from Home”. Enjoy.
